I recently got Fatboy Slim greatest hits and then a list of the things he used in his ten years I am really curious to know who the guy really was. What's his real name? How old is he? How old was he when he started? Does he sing at all, or only a few other to do it? All the sort. But, be warned, if you give me his life story, and a whole bunch of details that I had not asked that his hometown, and the shit, I will not give you the best answer. look at those last few sentences of people! I do not care where he grew up, what schools he went to, or all that crap. I am only interested in the big stuff!
Fatboy Slim Biography Fatboy Slim otherwise known as Norman Cook was born Quentin 'Norman' Cook in Bromley, England, July 13, 1963, but grew up in Redhill, England. He moved to Brighton to attend college, where he began DJing around the city. When he got a call from an old school mate Paul Heaton he moved to Hull to play bass in Heaton's band, the House Martins. After supporting Billy Bragg on tour, they signed to Go! Discs with a little advice from Bragg. Their first single 'Flag Day' did it in the top 120th The second single 'Do' reached 56, but their third single 'Happy Hour' crashed This is the way to 3 in the charts. The album "London 0 Hull 4" was also a top 10 hit. When they released "Caravan of Love", a cover of the Isley Brothers tune in 1986, the finally had a British Number One. After replacement of a gang member, they released a second album 'The People who grinned themselves to death. "This album spawned a few top 20 singles but soon after the album release the band wasted up. Norman returned to Brighton and created a career as a remixer with a mix of Eric B. and Rakim's "I Know You Got Soul '. He served as Beats International, which was more of a collaboration of musical artists than a band. They had a number one in 1989 with "Dub Be Good To Me 'a cover version of" Just Be God To Me. "Their first album" Let Them Eat Bingo "was a dub filled sound-fest. In 1991 they released their second album" Tour on the version. "Disposable after that Norman was divorced and had a nervous breakdown, and chose not to make music in two years. After some inspiration from a song by Robert Owen and a little ecstasy, he found a new light. He formed the Freak Power with multi-talented brass player and singer Ashley Slater (from cult UK funk band Micro Groove), who was also a member of the Beats tour brass section and playing brass Beats on the second album. The first album from Freak Power "Drive Through Booty" in 1994 was mainly from material Norman had written to a third Beats International album. They almost had a number one with 'Turn On, Tune In, Cop Out', after Levi's Jeans picked it up to launch a multi-one million U.S. dollar advertising campaign. At some point after the first album Freak Power, Norman found time to create a new album in 1995 under the pseudonym Pizzaman, creating such hits as "Sex On The Streets 'and' Happiness'. Freak Power toured for a year then Norman and Slater made a second album "More of everything … for all" in 1996. Two singles cruise on the dance floor, but the record company holding Freak Power, Iceland, threw a shadow over the album and so Freak Power was no more. Once during this period Norman recorded under various aliases including Fried Funk Food & Mighty Dub Cat, plus he help found Skint records with Damien Harris. And when Loaded-Records owned the name "Pizzaman" Norman adopted yet another pseudonym … Fatboy Slim. According to Norman, the name comes from a "Louisiana blues singer from the 40's, which is known for a song called" Baby, I Want A Piece Of Your Pie '. "Retreated to his attic dubbed" The House Of Love ", Norman recorded" Better Living Through Chemistry "during a week in early 1996. The album's title refers to a slogan used in the U.S. in the 50s, which recommended that hyperactive children should be quieted down with large doses of valium. The title is also a salute to his comrades, Chemical Brothers, who helped convince him to put an album together. The album attracted a lot of attention.

Funky breaks from Chromeo and a remixed Santogold bring the big beat sound into 2009, slightly older tracks from X-Press 2 and Aquasky provide some familiarity, and the Chemical Brothers` "Hey Boy, Hey Girl" is the past and future wrapped into one thanks to the Soulwax remix. The speaker-ripping bassline from "First Stroke" by John Acquaviva is a techno-based highlight, while Herv¿`s "Cheap Thrills" blends old-school jungle beats with a sample of Michael Jackson`s "Thriller," making it a brilliant track with a brilliant title. Inspired by a disparate set of sources, not the least of which included his reading of Ryszard Kapuscinski`s book The Emperor as well as various reports detailing the former First Lady of the Philippines` penchant for disco and club life, Byrne formulated this would-be stage production based around the notion — as he says in the liner notes — of the "bubble worlds of the rich and powerful" set to the popular sounds (disco, soul, Latin beats, cabaret) of Marcos` time in power. While there is no dialogue in this production, Byrne has crafted each track throughout the album to tell the story and evoke the emotional state of Marcos and her longtime nanny Cumpas` emotional state. And while the story hangs together quite well, the main impression you are left with is that Byrne and Slim have impeccable taste in female singers. Here we get British songstress Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine) delivering the title prologue track, an anthemic disco-inflected number that recalls any number of Studio 54 diva hits. Similarly, Tori Amos takes on the role of Marcos` mother, Remedios, on the eerie flamenco-infused "You`ll Be Taken Care Of." Inspired by a disparate set of sources, not the least of which included his reading of Ryszard Kapuscinski`s book The Emperor as well as various reports detailing the former First Lady of the Philippines` penchant for disco and club life, Byrne formulated this would-be stage production based around the notion — as he says in the liner notes — of the "bubble worlds of the rich and powerful" set to the popular sounds (disco, soul, Latin beats, cabaret) of Marcos` time in power. While there is no dialogue in this production, Byrne has crafted each track throughout the album to tell the story and evoke the emotional state of Marcos and her longtime nanny Cumpas` emotional state. And while the story hangs together quite well, the main impression you are left with is that Byrne and Slim have impeccable taste in female singers. Here we get British songstress Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine) delivering the title prologue track, an anthemic disco-inflected number that recalls any number of Studio 54 diva hits. Similarly, Tori Amos takes on the role of Marcos` mother, Remedios, on the eerie flamenco-infused "You`ll Be Taken Care Of."
